Jami is the founder of Jami Floyd Media, LLC, a new company dedicated to amplifying Black voices and the stories of women, the LGBTQ community, and other traditionally marginalized people. She comes to this work after two decades as a civil rights journalist, legal and political analyst, and television and radio host.
Jami has officially filed suit against New York Public Radio/WNYC in federal court in Manhattan (Floyd v. NYPR). The lawsuit alleges race discrimination & more by NYPR and seeks compensatory and punitive damages. Read the Complaint
